Working with Sotheby’s International for nearly a decade, he and his team have established themselves as one of the most respected syndicates in the city. With a clientele steeped in the entertainment industry (music, film, and TV) he has represented principals from more than 20 countries. He is in the top 1% of Sotheby’s agents nationwide.
He was involved in the creation Sotheby’s for Schools, a non-profit organization committed to empowering youth through education. 100% of all proceeds goes directly to local schools for the equipping of our children. A percentage of every dollar his team earns goes to Sotheby’s for Schools. To date, his office has contributed over $15,000 to Los Angeles public schools.

- John Johnston
The LA Home Team
Johnny Johnston hails from Vail, Colorado. He spent his youth frolicking through the Rockies adorned in lederhosen. His devastating good looks got him into Brown University and he headed east to study History, Literature and Architecture. Afterward, he moved to Los Angeles in search of the perfect Spanish villa. The search has lasted 15 years and taken him across the city. Sometimes, looking at property, he’d try to solve some of life’s more confounding questions. Do the laws of thermo-dynamics apply equally to the mid-century and craftsman? Does a modern home need a modern man? What is modern… and what is man? Toward this end, he went to seminary and received a Master’s Degree in Biblical Theology, but these days he prefers to call in to talk radio.
He, his wife (fashion designer Heidi Merrick) Hiver (their daughter), and Alfie (beloved son), split their time between their Mediterranean compound in Silver Lake, Santa Barbara and Vail (where they own a boutique, ski lodge and real estate brokerage). Heidi forbids him from indulging in the lederhosen, but late at night he still dares to dream.
Richard Rocha was raised in Northeast Los Angeles. For over 30 years, he has watched the area go through several transformations. Which is why, after 13 years in film and a short stint in Mixed Martial Arts, it made perfect sense for him to transition to the field of real estate on Los Angeles’ East Side.
Richard's beginnings in real estate differ from that of most agents. He spent nearly 4 years working in escrow, real estate marketing and transaction coordination. This time not only gave him a great insight on the transaction and escrow process, it also aligned him with some of the top agents in the area, and gave him experience uncommon for newer agents.
A lot of Richard's spare time is spent with his wife Jennifer and their 4 children. He is an avid hiker, camper, has been training in martial arts for 10 years, and loves surfing and skateboarding. Richard’s passions are many, but helping people navigate LA real estate is his heart.
